Again my bio-clock totally scrambled again and I’m very much grumpy.
I wish they would set it to 13 o’clock middle of the day and leave it alone.
Meaning for us in the Benelux GMT+2, indeed summer time.
As a working day is 9-17 so half the day is 9+4=13 and 13+4 is 17.
Ergo, maximum use of daylight during the day.
GMT+0 at 12 o’clock is a stupid mark in modern days, they should move GMT to 13 o’clock middle day.
Then adjust everybody else, so the bio-rithm runs on daylight and runs correctly.
Don’t forget the earth position towards the sun has changed over the centuries, it’s about time it’s corrected to modern times.
This is and old and wrong thing, UTC/GMT are wrong and should be updated.
What about having the Sun at the zenit at 12’o clock, like used to be even before the introduction of the time zones?
Define the working day to be 8-16 so half the day is 8+4=12 and 12+4 is 16.
We don’t work here until 16 but until 17, most of the ‘normal’ workforce.
So 12 o’clock isn’t midday for them.
Even if it’s 1 hour wrong, that isn’t that bad, but we are off now by 2 hours, even worse.
That is the problem.
The daylight doesn’t match our biorhythm, as such people get a yet lag for a long time as you can’t adjust just like that.
I have this 2 times a year and get very tired of this messing with time.
16 and 17 are just numbers. It should not be the reference for the end of the work time, instead the position of the Sun when setting.
Yes and no, as the clock has only 24 hours, so it makes every zone 1670 km wide.
In order to keep the right time-number, else it will be a mess.
We have to define where UTC/GMT at 0 point is.
In my opinion at 12:30 or 13 o’clock the sun should be straight up in the sky. Summer or winter and in the middle of the zone.
That point we should call the above number. Not the way it it now.
I vote for 13 o’clock, as for most people that is midday. Ergo, at any point 13 o’clock means that the sun is straight up in the middle of the 1670 kilometer wide zone.
One can discuss the edges. But in my opinion this fixes the entire problem.
I mean the entire USA isn’t even 1 zone. so can we please stop using the (almost) entire EU being 1 zone. People get really sick, no joke, I’m so bad that I have lost every track of time at the moment, takes me weeks to feel good again, then they mess with it again and the same happens over again.
We need to define midday for the middle of a zone, then countries should decide what zone they use. But using Berlin time in western-Europe up to Spain is plain stupid.
If we timekeepers can’t work out a good way to define it, you think the politicians ever will?
The pool is widely used, I think we should have to define it, new modern way, and send a signal out to the politicians to adjust the wrong of the past and bring time into the modern age.
My opinion. This messing with time and wrong timezone has to stop, too many people get ill.
I would still prefer if the Sun is on the zenith at 12’o clock in the center line of the timezone.
Ok, if we define that as UTC/GMT 0, then there is no problem for me, as I should be in GMT-0 then, but I’m in GMT+2 now.
Meaning it’s so far off, it makes no sense.
I have no problem when time is set midday 12, I prefer 13, but that isn’t much change.
In winter we are in GMT+1, while we should be GMT 0, in summer we move to GMT+2.
In my plan we should be GMT-1 to make daylight follow biorhythm.
But I would be fine with 12 as long as it sticks there and doesn’t change.
1 hour is not the issue…but Belgium is waaaaaaaaaaay off that, Spain even worse.
At the moment it’s here 18:44 and the sun feels like it’s 16:44, it makes no sense to me.
It’s wrong…
