I had a similar problem some time ago. While adding my new server the management page didn’t seem to get the country right. I looked up the IP addresses via MaxMind test page and filed a correction request there. Some time later I was able to add the server with the correct country. I’m not sure how long the delay was, but in my case I wasn’t in a hurry and ended up adding the new server 1-2 months later. It’s possible that the delay is significantly shorter. If you have already added your server with the wrong country, you can delete it and re-add it (or send an email to the pool support people, but it’s best if you can fix this problem yourself).
Everything @avij said is the correct answer.
If I remember right the database is updated approximately weekly.
Hi !
I checked and at maxmind eits still austria . my ISP changed the setting 4 weeks ago…
Ciao Gerd
I have now filed a correction request at MaxMind on your / your ISP’s behalf for 152.53.128.0/20. It may take a week or two for the change to show up. The holiday season may also slow down the review process.
Hi Thanks !
btw: you should do that also for
inet6 2a0a:4cc0:c0:33c:741d:20ff:fe2c:108e prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x0
this is my ipv6 address
Ciao Gerd
Changing geoip information for an individual IPv6 address (or a /64) is probably not that effective. Maybe you could ask your ISP what their German IPv6 network is, and/or ask them to submit the change to MaxMind themselves. It could be 2a0a:4cc0:c0::/43 but I’d rather not submit correction requests based on guesses.
