Expected wait for a vendor zone request?

Hi,

we requested a vendor zone 1.5 months ago, for a small hobby OS that should generate negligible amounts of traffic.

The documentation strongly encourages setting up a vendor zone for using the pool, and it says requests should take a week or two.

I’ve emailed the support address a few times but haven’t heard back.

Is this expected? Am I doing something wrong?

Yikes.

Do people just hardcode pool.ntp.org then?

Other volunteers cannot help this. And hardcoding pool.ntp.org is at least better than hardcoding IP address. Or you may consider using time service from Google/Facebook/Cloudfare etc.
