Discord on Android has long spammed us.pool.ntp.org thousands of times a day (partly dependent on usage).
This has been mentioned before here on the following topic: Discord on Android spams us.pool.ntp.org — Should we ask them to use global servers or a vendor zone?
Note: the frequency reported in that topic is way lower than the few thousand I personally observe daily. I suppose an average user would be making at least one thousand daily.
Discord has now begun rolling a big update on Android that changes codebases and, probably unintentionally, fixes this issue.
Considering the number of users (Play Store has it at “100M+” installs) and that the US pool specifically was used, regardless of user region, it would be interesting to know if this has an appreciable effect on US pool servers.
