Dead IPv6 on my AT&T gateway

Sorry to say folks but AT&T broke IPv6 in my gateway and my server has been offline for 2 days now. 2 hours on the phone trying to explain to them that a Sunday night provision refresh seems to have disabled IPv6 on the device. Do you know you can’t even get a real engineer on the phone anymore. They can remote into the device and state, “We don’t support xyz” or “it’s must be your on-premise equipment” None of the folks I talked to even knew about IPv6 and how it operates on their gateways. One of the other comments were as long as you have IPv4 you have internet access. Blows my mind.

In a last gasp they are sending out a new gateway and I pray this would be provisioned properly and I can get my server back online again.

Received the gateway had to re-map all delegated prefixes to the right interfaces on the router and turn off all the AT&T features and it looks like IPv6 is back up and running here. Scores slowing rising for my time server. Noticed that the state table in this version of their gateway has 8k entries vs. the old which had 4k entries.

I assume you’re using one of AT&T’s routers, like the BGW210-700. I have their GPON service, and that’s the router they sent me. There are options to bypass the gateway completely that removes their NAT table connection limitation.

Yes they sent me the: BGW210-700. I will check out the two links I would really like to stop using fake “bridge” mode.
