Time.google.com ipv6 in pool

I was surprised to discover that 2.us.pool.ntp.org returned 2001:4860:4806:4::, which is apparently in the pool:

https://www.ntppool.org/scores/2001:4860:4806:4::

Since it implements leap second smearing, it seems like this wouldn’t be consistent with other ntp pool servers… Is this the result of someone accidentally adding time.google.com to the pool?

Thank you; yes – that shouldn’t be there (because Google didn’t add it and yes, because it’s leap smearing). I’ve marked it to not be included in the pool.

(see the other threads about adding validation… :frowning:)

Maybe you should give 2001:4860:4806:c:: and 2001:4860:4806:8:: the same treatment as a precaution.
