I want to add monitors in China (pi with GPS) to improve the server numbers of CN or countries around maybe?

How to get the API keys?
I had send @ask a message 2 weeks ago.

As we’re talking about China, I’ll have to confirm. Do you have your own IP address, ie. one that is not shared with others? Having a monitor behind CGNAT might not work well for monitoring purposes, because NTP servers might have query rate limitations.

I’m not sure that would be a problem in practice. I can’t speak for the pool admins, but each monitor is currently querying each server at most every 6 minutes. See for example https://www.ntppool.org/scores/38.81.211.177/log?limit=30&monitor=9

Rate limiting in ntpd defaults to limiting each client IP address to one query every 2 seconds and averaging no more often than every 8 seconds. It would take quite a few well-behaved clients sharing the same CGNAT public IP with a monitor to trip rate limiting.

Throw in one bad-behaving client behind the same CGNAT and you have a problem.

Yes, That’s own by me (for a while), since ISP will change the IPv4 address in about 2 days. IPv6 will change prefix for daily.
