Chronymon 1.2.3 is out

chronymon 1.2.3 is out.

It can now watch gpsd (fix, satellites) and PPS or PTP sources (missed pulses) when enabled. Check the docs for details.

The kiosk and status bar prominently flag problems until they clear: lost pulses, no fix, gpsd down, a coasting clock, NTP standing in for the refclock.

The Temperature page can now fit your clock’s drift against temperature and hands you the tempcomp line for chrony.conf, linear or quadratic.

The system is not letting me link to github. My github id is charlieh0tel.

I’m pretty much done with the features that I wanted, so chronymon is transitioning into an active maintenance mode. I’ll track chrony releases of course. If something is missing that I didn’t think of, please drop me a note or file an issue and I’ll consider it. Bug reports are very welcome.

I hope folks find it useful.

Works perfectly, but to use GPSD one must add this to the /etc/default/chronymond at the bottom:

# reads GPSD for data as well
CHRONYMOND_GPSD=localhost

Yes, exactly, just uncomment that line.

If you want PPS/PTP monitoring, set CHRONYMOND_PPS to your PPS/PTP device, e.g.:

CHRONYMOND_PPS=/dev/pps0

Also, be sure you have logging enabled in chrony itself.

log tracking measurements statistics refclocks tempcomp
