Yea, so I sent ntpd a SIG HUP after adding time.nist.gov to the ntp.conf of tick.montreal.ca.logiplex.net and I guess ntpd follows more older and perhaps deprecated (or outdated) Unix standard, as I realized an hour or two later when my score was negative 25. This apparently couldn’t have been the end of the world. Thank God. It came to mind but it seemed like the right thing to try. I don’t see why it should need modified now for the next three years it is paid. Maybe I will take a vacation.
