Hi, How do I install ntppool-agent in FreeBSD? Where can I find the packages for that OS? https://builds.ntppool.dev/repo/ page seems to contain instructions for Linux only.

@Ask has been making binaries for FreeBSD and other OSes available at https://builds.ntppool.dev/ntppool-agent/builds/release/ , but the site has been broken for a few weeks. I have made a local port for FreeBSD and build my own packages from his binaries. I’m happy to share the port files and packag…

The most recent BSD builds are here (v4.1.1) for amd64 , arm64 and 386 . I moved the storage for those some weeks ago and had a fleeting thought that the directory indexes were useful for something, oops! I’ll put on the migration todo list to get them back.

Hi @ask , any chance that the AccessDenied error at https://builds.ntppool.dev/ntppool-agent/builds/release/ can be fixed? There are reports that there are later monitor versions available, but for the non-linux guys they are not detectable.

Anybody know where to get the most recent build for FreeBSD? The directory is not accessible, the direct link to architecture-specific builds further up are for an older version, and I don’t usually use FreeBSD, so I do not recall whether any other way to get binaries for FreeBSD was discussed else…

Is there a problem with the build he gave in his URL’s? When I click on them they download. I clicked and 4.1.1 downloaded. Pretty sure @ask would have posted new links if needed.

[image] Bas: I clicked and 4.1.1 downloaded. Seeing that the latest Linux version is 4.1.5, with various improvements relevant for the backend infrastructure, my question was about a FreeBSD build more recent than 4.1.1.

I understand that, but makes it a difference? I seldom check my monitor, I just update Linux and that is it. Will it make a difference that is important?

There were improvements to reduce the strain on the backend servers. Anyway, what is your issue with me asking the community if anyone happens to know whether a more recent version for OpenBSD is available?

Meaning? I’m sure Ask would have recompiled if it’s a problem. [image] MagicNTP: Anyway, what is your issue with me asking the community if anyone happens to know whether a more recent version for OpenBSD is available? I have no issue, I just wonder why you ask. Not many people run OpenBSD. …

Can you please stop butting in? What is your business with me asking the community whether anyone knows whether there’s more recent versions available? You don’t know, thanks for letting me know, but there’s more people on this forum.
