Also, I agree that more monitors in Africa and likely in Asia and South America would be welcome. In Europe and North America the networks are generally well connected.
There’s a few in those regions that are waiting to move from “Status testing” to “Status active”. There’s been discussion at some point whether the transition should be automated, based on some criteria, or manual. Based on how long at least some seem to be waiting to get promoted (a few are rather recent additions), I have the impression that it currently is the latter?
@ask Sorry if that seems to be the case. I assure you that is not my intention. I think differently then 96% of the population. I describe my thoughts. And they can jump all over the place.
Please look at this: Visual thinking - Wikipedia
As I often find that people do not understand what I try to say or explain.
There is no intend to be nasty or hostile at all. I just think different, as such have a different view on matters,
If my way upset people, accept my apology, it was never meant as an attack. All my comments are my view on things. Nothing else. Just to help.
I have a very different way of seeing things….
I have 1 objective: Help the pool the best it can be to use…also the most accurate….I have NO INTENTION to hurt the pool in any way.
Just give my view on things.
I can’t agree more. But there is no reason to blame current monitors to do a bad job.
As most do a good job. As the servers in question aren’t taken out of the pool in any way, they did score well enough.
No it wasn’t all the time 20. But the monitors shown their time to be correct and let them be part of the pool.
In my book that means the monitors did do a proper job to verify your server to be in the pool.
Sure it takes a bit more ping-time, so what? They received a CORRECT-TIME from your server, that is what matters.
@ask, thanks for moving those monitors along…
