Hello, I am new to the NTP universe and I would like to know how you monitor your NTP server continuously, not only with chronyc commands?

I use vnstat which makes pretty graphs. [Statistics - NTP & NTS Time Server of BOINC Team Belgium](https://ntp.teambelgium.net/ntpstats)

Hello,

Yes, you can use graphs with rrdtool to monitor your NTP server.

I made a script that generates them with all your chrony stats: [GitHub - TheHuman00/chrony-stats: Lightweight : Monitoring Chrony and Network · GitHub](https://github.com/TheHuman00/chrony-stats)

Is there any specific monitoring you need?

I uses InfluxData’s telegraf chrony input plugin along with other host metrics, which are streamed into an InfluxDB 2 instance. For graphing and dashboard there is also a Grafana instance and some cron scripts to render images for publishing on the website [Here](https://blog.imi.moe/ntp/).

In addition to the above answers, I’ll note that if something goes terribly wrong with your pool NTP server, you will get an automatic notification from the pool. So you don’t necessarily need to have your own monitoring to make sure your NTP server is a) reachable or b) serves good enough time.

I’m using the chrony-stats scripts linked above for some pretty graphs. Here’s [one of my servers](https://majava.miuku.net/chrony-stats/), for example.

I have now updated it to [https://ntp.kml.lol/](https://ntp.kml.lol/) I thought it was too much info for a time site so i made its own.
