Hi guys,

This is my config file for my NTP Stratum 2 server. Any suggestion for fine tuning will be appreciated.

```auto
# Record the frequency of the system clock.
driftfile /var/lib/ntp/drift
# Permit time synchronization with our time source, but do not
# permit the source to query or modify the service on this system.
restrict default nomodify notrap nopeer noepeer noquery
# Permit association with pool servers.
restrict source nomodify notrap noepeer noquery
# Permit all access over the loopback interface. This could
# be tightened as well, but to do so would effect some of
# the administrative functions.
restrict 127.0.0.1
restrict ::1
# Hosts on local network are less restricted.
restrict 10.10.10.0 mask 255.255.255.0 nomodify notrap
restrict -4 default kod noquery nomodify notrap nopeer limited
restrict -6 default kod noquery nomodify notrap nopeer limited
Those are redundant – and not the same.
No own stratum-1 server ?
Although it’s so easy. For example with an GPS module and a RasperryPi. There are a lot of examples in the network. Or as I have done with a BananaPi and a rubidium source. [http://blog.mayer.tv/2017/06/11/stratum-0-server.html](http://blog.mayer.tv/2017/06/11/stratum-0-server.html)
But independant, congratulation. Each server in the pool is a win. ( Hopefully it is in the pool 🙂 )
