# 20 years of the NTP Pool

This winter / spring it’s 20 years since the NTP Pool project [started](https://groups.google.com/g/comp.protocols.time.ntp/c/cShrN7imCJ0?pli=1); and this summer 18 years since I started [maintaining](https://groups.google.com/g/comp.protocols.time.ntp/c/zUhqeCtA9iA).

This September it will be 5 years since we [posted for a vendor zone](https://community.ntppool.org/t/pool-ntp-org-vendor-zone/1240/9).

I think it would be a tremendous success if we could, in celebration of these anniversaries, put vendored zone in the config files of applications we ship.

What do you think about that, @ask?
